Growers of grapes and pears are invited to attend this year’s iteration of the University of California Cooperative Extension’s (UCCE) Pear and Grape Field Day.
The event is scheduled for May 28 in Hopland, California.
The Pear and Grape Field Day is designed to feature the latest UCCE research on cultivars, canopy management, diseases, water management and insect pests. Growers are invited to attend to learn about current and future perspectives on the North Coast grape and pear situation, according to a news release.
An outdoor session from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. will include grove and vineyard tours. It will be at 14200 Old River Rd. An indoor session and lunch will be at 13601 Old River Rd., from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Registration is $35. Lunch is provided.
The event is sponsored by UCCE, UCCE North Coast Viticulture and Lake County Winegrowers.
